Anyone who's been to Rockefeller Center, in any capacity, knows that you cannot stand still for more than three minutes before being asked directions to the bathrooms, the Sea Grill, Radio City Music Hall, Fifth Avenue, Sixth Avenue, St. Patrick's, Times Square, or the ice skating rink (even if you're standing three feet from the ice). While taking pictures on Monday, I came across a production tent with a crew trying to prepare for tonight's festivities. Unfortunately, they were way too close to the public.
Note the pieces of paper posted all over the tent. I can imagine the moment, the question that broke the camel's back, the profanity muttered under someone's breath, followed by the lines, "Print this up and get me some tape!"
We should have t-shirts made.
My co-worker and I were just harassing a guy outside our office with the exact same questions within about 3 minutes. He needed a sign like this. Of course, only half our curiosity was based on what he was doing the rest was based on how cute he was.
